Following on the heels of our Penya_Remixed EP, we're very happy to conclude a productive year with another new remix of “The World is Full of Gentle Souls” from Ink Project.

Ink Project is Brighton-based producer Jez Lloyd’s collaborative project with vocalists Coreysan, Fifi Rong, Yazmyn Hendrix and Melanie Dymond. The collective experiments with various styles including song-based electronic/soul, future dub, down tempo and global music.

Jez transports the ambient and electronic vibe of the original into a tropical rainforest, blending elements to produce a spacious reggae/dub/down-tempo version complete with booming yet soothing sub-bass, tipping his hat to Nightmares On Wax, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Fat Freddie's Drop and Prince Fatty.

2021 has been an exciting year for Penya; having established Liminal Recordings, they self released their 2nd album and followed with a remix EP to widespread acclaim including support from Gilles Peterson, Tom Ravenscroft, Jamz Supernova, Songlines Magazine, The Times, and Worldwide FM
